What is this Self?
That which is real and eternal,
That which is true, and constant,
That which is unchanging and nondual,
That which unborn eternal,
That which is the cause of all causes,
That which is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence,
That which is the cause of the illusory universe or Maya,
That which is the cause of the duality,
That, which is hidden by the illusion can be called the Self,
You are nothing to do with the ‘Self’ because Self is not you. Self-realization is possible only when you realize the Self is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul.
Until you think the ‘Self is within you, you will never be able to realize ‘what ‘Self’ is in actuality.
Those Gurus who preached the ‘Self’ is within you propagated only half-baked knowledge.
The ‘Self’ is within the world in which you exist because the Self is not an entity or identity within the world in which you exist. The 'Self' pervades the whole world in which you exist.
The ‘Self’ is the cause of the world, in which you exist and it itself is uncaused.
The ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Without consciousness, the world, in which you exist ceases to exist. Perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-realization.
Remember:~
What is this universe (samsara), what is this illusion to the formless Soul, the ‘Self’? The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Consciousness and the universe both are one, in essence ultimately.
Only people who stick to the reality of the universe think of their body as the body, ego as the ego, and the world as the world. It never strikes in them the world in which they exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
The dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place and the waking becomes unreal when you realize the Self is not you but the Self is the Soul.
The Soul is the formless witness (Soul) of the coming and going of the three states.
The Soul or consciousness is hidden by the three states as their formless substance and it is apart from the three states as their formless witness.
It is apart because it is not an entity or identity within the three states.
When wisdom dawns, then the Soul, the innermost Self, wakes up in its formless nondual true nature in the midst of duality (waking).
For a Gnani the body, ego, and the universe are merely an illusion created out of consciousness. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
