Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation.+

The knowledge of both Matter and Spirit is True knowledge. The true knowledge is the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara
Consciousness is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.  The universe is nothing but consciousness. Modern science has yet to discover the consciousness is the cause of the universe, which was discovered and declared by Sage Sankara 1200 years back.

Atman or consciousness you can never see. So do not inquire Ataman. Inquire into the world around you, which you can see. Science tells you it is passing away every second. Everything is dying repeatedly. Where is it going? Thus, you follow up your inquiry into what you can lay hands on. How can you inquire into Atman which you cannot see? So first we deal with the known and seen, this inquiry leads up to the unknown in the end.

Advaita encompasses everything. Since Advaita requires heavy-duty intellectualism, it had to be progressively simplified.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “Atman is Brahman. The Atman alone is real is not religious truth. Sage  Sankara declared, many centuries back the Advaitic truth, is the ultimate truth to the whole world. Advaitic truth is the rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth

Sage Sankara: ~ ‘Reality can be realized only with the eye of understanding, not just by a scholar. What the moon is like must be seen with one's own eyes. How can others do it for you?"~Vivekachoodamani

To realize the ultimate Truth or Brahman demands deeper thinking. For those who require mental spoon-feeding, it is difficult to grasp. It is only possible to finger point to the reality and indicate the direction. It is not possible to make one realize the truth; it is for the seeker to verify on his own -through, deeper self-search and realize it.

The seekers who will approach with receptiveness as they should be approached may conceivably pause at any time and say, these pointers are helping them to think on their own and assimilate the Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana and understanding in a proper and a perfect way.

Sage Goudpada: ~ To establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about. (Manduka Karika)

The path of wisdom is divided into three parts:~

First:~Hearing the truth--that consciousness is the only reality and that the universe along with you is merely an illusion or Maya.

Second:~ Reasoning upon these words of wisdom of Sage Sankara from all points of view.

Third:~ Giving up all further argumentation and realizing the truth. This realization comes from being certain that consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara says: ~ ‘What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra)

Sage Sankara says you must first know what is before you. If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up the external world in your inquiry, you cannot get the whole truth

Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. If the inquiry does not include the universe then it is incomplete.

Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-47- All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.

Sage Sankara himself had often said that his philosophy was based on Sruti, or revealed scripture. This may be because, Sage Sri, Sankara addressed the ordinary man, who finds security in the idea of causality and thus, in the idea of God—and Revelation is indispensable to prove the latter. He believed that those of superior intelligence, have no need of this idea of divine causality, and can, therefore, dispense with Sruti and arrive at the truth of Non-Dualism by pure reason.

Sage Sankara is the only sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma.

It is necessary for the seeker to do his homework, and verify the validity of all the claims, rather than blindly believe, what others expound as knowledge, till; the un-contradicted truth is obtained.

The seeker must have the courage of Bhagavan Buddha to accept the truth and reject the untruth. Since Bhagavan Buddha rejected religion, the idea of God and scriptures, therefore, it is evident that he has gone through every aspect and verified and found them to be inadequate and useless for the pursuit of truth.

That is why Bhagavan Buddha said: ~ “Believe nothing because a wise man said it, Believe nothing because it is generally held. Believe nothing because it is written. Believe nothing because it is said to be divine. Believe nothing because someone else said it. But believe only what you yourself judge to be true.

Bhagavan Buddha: ~ ‘There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.

Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness. By holding onto theories one remains in the realm of duality. You have to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality.
